Paul Smith Junior - SPRING SUMMER 2012

Sir Paul Smith, Sohn eines Schneiders, wollte ursprünglich Radrennfahrer werden. Heute ist er erfolgreicher Unternehmer und Modedesigner seiner eigenen Kolektionen. Sir Paul Smith ist hauptsächlich für seine Herrenmode-Kollektionen bekannt, die er selbst als „classic with a twist“ (deutsch: klassisch mit dem gewissen Etwas) beschrieben hat. Vor Allem der Einsatz bunter Streifen und floraler Muster gab seinen Kollektionen das unique Markenzeichen. Er gilt heute als der erfolgreichste Designer Großbritanniens. Sitz der Paul Smith Ltd. ist Nottingham, Smith's Büro und Atelier liegen im Londoner Stadtteil Covent Garden.

Die Junior-Kollektion, die in Lizenz von dem französischen Kindermode-Spezialisten "Groupe Zannier" produziert wird, ist inspiriert von der Paul Smith Catwalk-Mode. Die Drucken und Silhouetten sind "kindgerecht" überarbeitet und garantieren Spiel & Spass für die Kleinen! Die Kollektion trägt unverkennbar die Handschrift von Paul Smith - diese britische Sensibilität mit viel Liebe zum Detail wie ungewöhnliche Nähte, Einsatz von kontrastreichen Futterstoffen oder Trimmings. Für Jungs stehen kräftige Farben mit "Vintage-Touch" in Vordergrund, darunter blau, grün und rot. Die Drucke sind sowohl grafische als auch spielerische Motive und natürlich - neu interpretiert - mit Streifenmuster. Mädchen haben in dieser Kollektion - mehr denn je - eine unglaubliche Auswahl an Party-Kleidern: mit klassischen "Paul Smith Blümchen", verspielt mit Schleifen, Rüschen und Borten. Alltagstauglich im gleichen Design gibt es Röcke, T-Shirt mit grafischen Print-Motiven, Jenas und viele Short für einen heissen Sommer! Eine wunderbar vielseitige Kollektion nach dem Motto Mix-it!

The Paul Smith junior collection takes inspiration from the Paul Smith catwalk, with prints and silhouettes reworked to create playful pieces, for a fun-filled life. All the clothes retain the signature Paul Smith character - a British sensibility with lots of detail and hidden gems including intricate stitching, unusual linings and special junior trims. For boys, vibrant colours prevail with mixed vintage tones, including blue, green and red. Prints are both graphic and playful, and our signature “stripe” has been revisited but with a twist. Girls have more party dresses to choose from than ever, with delicate mainline prints worked into pretty, flowing dresses – rope detail necklines and discrete frills lift the collection even further. The collection also contains strong casual pieces, with preppy overtones, graphic print T’s, coloured and denim jeans and lots of shorts for the summer. The collection is extremely versatile with mix and match options to create your own style.

Kind + Jugend - Weltpremiere auf der LUNA Kids Fashion Show!

Am 15.September, 12.30 Uhr war Köln Schauplatz eines absoluten Fashion-Highlights für internationale Kidsfashion. Das Mode- und Lifestylemagazin Luna und die Koelnmesse brachten weltweit zum ersten Mal Armani Junior, HUGO BOSS, Junior Gaultier, Simonetta, Paul Smith Junior und Lacoste gemeinsam auf den Catwalk. Auf der Kölner Fachmesse Kind + Jugend präsentierten 30 Kindermodels die sechs High-End Fashionlabels mit ihren Trends für die Frühjahr-/ Sommersaison 2012 im Rahmen einer hochexklusiven Kids Fashion Show.

On September 15th at 12.30 pm, Cologne was the venue of a top fashion highlight for the international children's fashion sector. For the first time ever, Armani Junior, HUGO BOSS, Junior Gaultier, Simonetta, Paul Smith Junior and Lacoste were brought together on the catwalk by Koelnmesse and the fashion and lifestyle magazine Luna. At the Kind + Jugend trade fair in Cologne, 30 child models presented the trendy collections of the six high-end fashion labels for spring/summer 2012 at a highly exclusive Kids' Fashion Show.

Rund 150 geladene Gäste hatten sich in Halle 10.1 der Koelnmesse eingefunden, um das Kindermode-Highlight des Jahres persönlich mitzuerleben. Neben internationalem Messefachpublikum und Vertretern der Presse waren dabei auch zahlreiche prominente Fashionistas in den Zuschauerreihen vertreten. Großes Lob und Kompliment an das Team von LUNA. Es war eine rundum gelungene Show: süße Kindermodels, tolle Dekoration, stimmige Musikauswahl und perfekte Choreografie! Es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht als Zuschauer dabei gewesen zu sein!

About 150 invited guests came to Hall 10.1 at Koelnmesse to experience this highlight of the year for the children's fashion sector. Numerous prominent fashionistas were in the audience, along with media representatives and trade visitors from all over the world. Praise and compliments to the team at LUNA. It was a successful show: sweet child models, great decoration, harmonious selection of music and perfect choreography. It was a lot of fun - Thanks!
