New Collection 2016/17 Bobo Choses now out!

BOBO CHOSES
Collection 2016/17

When it comes to tendsetting in the children‘s fashion business, BOBO CHOSES surely is one of the labels to name. Every season they create spiritual new collections. But it all comes with a price. Being so creative and passionate about designing collections that tell exciting stories with the language of children, full of fun and humour, the copycat are just waiting around the corner to benefit from their extraordinary styles. For years now BOBO CHOSES is fighting against illegal copies of their brand in different countries. No one wants their work to be ripped-off but copycats ...

Bobo Choses was born in 2008 with the idea of creating a clothing brand that could capture the magical, passionate look and language of children. Their first collection, autumn-winter 2009 was successfully received by both public and media. Since then, their growth has been constant: their garments are made locally in Spain. Bobo Choses is located in Mataró, by the Mediterranean Sea, about thirty miles from the beautiful city of Barcelona.

This season Bobo Choses created three different capsule collections :
Juanola, Jumping Rabbits and Hypnotized Fur.

The label cares about the impact we have on the environment. For this reason, a significant part of their knitted fabrics has been made of organic cotton made in India. This is a process in which no pesticides are used and water wastage is controlled, as the soil becomes more fertile and retains water better.  Some of their fabrics were especially developed
by Bobo Choses’ design team. For this collection they are also using new biodegradable plastic bags which degrade in three years.

The Fableists - The Epic Thread

Like the protagonist in their film, The Fableists were curious about the provenance of the clothes that we all are buying for our children and so they decided to launch their own range of sustainably made children’s clothes – The Fableists. Their collection is made entirely of organic cotton, using natural dyes so that the clothes do not contain harmful chemicals. They do not use sweatshops or child labour. Their collection is mostly unisex so that, with proper care, the clothes can be passed on, and on. "Let’s break the cycle of kids making clothes for other kids and also buy less, buy well and wear more." Take a look at their nicely done cartoon video and join the Fableists!

Tulip & Nettle - Clothes to love, cherish, and above all, actually wear every day!

How lovely these images on the A/W13 collection of Tulip & Nettle are; the result of a collaboration between Tulip & Nettle and photographer Anita Clark. Tulip and Nettle children's clothes are made FOR children not BY children. Their clothes are all manufactured in the North East of England in a few small excellent factory units, by properly paid adults.

They started with just the Tulip label in 1998. Nettle came into being when a customer pointed out to them that her 12 year old son found the Tulip label in his trousers a shade girly. Grown Up clothes are a more recent introduction to the range. The look was originally inspired by the owner's children, but the name came from her dogs! Tulip was a much loved Pug and Nettle is a Jack Russell.

Anita has been a photographer for years but found herself increasingly drawn to kid's fashion after the birth of her two children. Her work has been featured by La Petite, RAWR and Babiekins.

Clothes to love, cherish, and above all, actually wear every day.

Lily-Balou - Spring-Summer 2013

gestrickte Baumwolle dazu. Lily-Balou entwirft in den Größen von 0-6 Jahren.
www.lilybalou.be

The carefree days of summer are here and the Belgian kidswear label Lily-Balou brightens up the season even more with fun-to-wear children’s clothes for the garden, the beach, the sun and the sea. And when the sun takes a break the punchy colours and fun prints, inspired by illustrator Dick Bruna’s work, will immediately put kids in a good mood!

Lily-Balou was created when new mum Anne was unable to find an ergonomic sling – which was also hip and trendy. So she started designing slings for herself, which were safe for her kids and in sync with her own style. The brand launched its first clothes line for children (newborn to 6 years) in autumn 2011. The keywords of the collection are colourful, comfortable, for children and easy to maintain. The brand has since been extended with a sleepwear line and a UV-resistant swimwear line. In addition to super soft sponge and jersey this spring/ summer collection also features a lovely summery velvet as well as woven and knitted cotton. Lily-Balou designs clothes for newborns up to the age of 6 years.
