Gewinner des Innovation Award Kind + Jugend 2011

Am 15. September 2011 kürte ein Expertenjury die Gewinner des Kind + Jugend Innovation Award 2011. Der Kind + Jugend Innovation Award erfreut sich national sowie international hoher Anerkennung, sodass sich jedes Jahr zahlreiche Aussteller mit ihren Produkten um die begehrte Trophäe bewerben. Zugelassen waren Neu- und Weiterentwicklungen, die sich in Form, Aussehen, Materialbeschaffenheit, Handhabung und/oder Technologie von bereits auf dem Markt befindlichen Produkten unterscheiden. Die Jury bestand aus Vertretern des Handels, TÜV und Medien, die die Neuheiten prüfen und dabei in insgesamt acht Kategorien jeweils einen Gewinner benannten.

On September 15th, 2011 a jury of experts selects the 2011 Kind + Jugend Innovation Award winners for 2011. The Kind + Jugend Innovation Award is considered highly prestigious in Germany and worldwide, which is why many exhibitors enter their products to compete for the coveted trophies every year. The entries accepted for the competition were all newly developed or enhanced products that are unlike items already available on the market in terms of form, appearance, material properties, ease of use, and/or technology. The jury is made up of representatives from international trade magazines covering the baby and infant's outfitting sector, trade representatives, and health and safety experts.
Ausgezeichnet wurden besonders innovative Produkte in den folgenden acht Kategorien:The Kind + Jugend Innovation Award was presented in eight categories:

World of Moving Baby 

Kinderwagen und Travelsysteme/ baby carriages and travel systems

Den ersten Platz in der Kategorie "World of Moving Baby" sicherte sich der Kinderwagen Origami der Firma 4moms. "Was für eine Innovation: der erste Kinderwagen, der sich per Knopfdruck zusammenbaut", urteilt die Jury. Zudem wurde die sportliche Note des Kinderwagens bewundert. Ausgestattet mit Geschwindigkeitsmesser, Kilometerzähler und Thermometer bietet der Origami ein perfektes Trainingsprogramm. Auch der Kinderwagen Quinny Vezz der Firma Dorel Netherlands konnte bei der Jury punkten: Seinen leichten und stabilen Charakter beschreibt die Jury als "perfekten Kinderwagen für einen Shopping-Trip in der Stadt".

The first place winner in the World of Moving Baby category was the Origami stroller from the company 4moms. "What an innovation: the first stroller that folds together with the push of a button," said the jury members. The stroller's sporty feel was also a hit. Equipped with a speedometer, kilometre counter and thermometer, the Origami provides the perfect exercise programme. The jury also had high praise for the Quinny Vezz pram from the company Dorel Netherlands: In view of the product's lightweight yet strong design, the jury called it the "perfect pram for a shopping trip in the city".

World of Travelling Baby
Autokindersitze/ car safety seats

"Das Sicherheitssystem SA-ATS stellt in puncto Kindersicherheit im Auto eine einmalige Neuheit dar", lautete das Urteil der Jury. 

"The SA-ATS safety system is a unique new product for safety of children in cars", said the jury in their assessment. The new safety system greatly reduces impact energy by means of a hydraulic damper, ensuring superior protection for babies during a collision.

World of Moving Baby & Travelling Baby Accessories
Zubehör für Kinderwagen, Travelsysteme und Autokindersitze/ accessories for baby carriages, travel systems and car safety seats

In dieser Kategorie trug der 5 Point Plus Kindersitz Anti Escape System der Firma Systematic Strategy Ltd den Sieg davon. Die Jury war sich einig: "Der 5 Point Plus Gurt erhöht die Sicherheit des Kindes im Autositz erheblich."

The winning product in this category was the 5 Point Plus Safety-Seat Anti Escape System from the company Systematic Strategy Ltd. The jury was unanimous: "The 5 Point Plus belt provides much improved safety for a child in a safety-seat."

World of Baby Safety at Home
Sicherheitsrelevante Produkte für Babys und Kleinkinder zu Hause/ security devices for infants and small children at home

Für seine Multifunktionalität wurde das neue Babyfon Tommeetippiee - closer to nature der Firma Mayborn Baby & Child mit dem Innovation Award in der Kategorie "World of Baby Safety at Home" ausgezeichnet. 

The new baby phone Tommeetippiee - closer to nature from the company Mayborn Baby & Child was recognised for its multifunctionality with the Innovation Award in the World of Baby Safety at Home category.

World of Baby Toys
Spielzeug für Babys und Kleinkinder/ toys for infants and small children

Der Große Optikbaukasten von HABA stand in dieser Kategorie ganz oben auf dem Treppchen. Die bunten Würfel, Quader und Kugeln regen zum Anfassen und Entdecken an. Hier hatte der pädagogische Gedanke hatte die Jury überzeugt. 

The colourful cubes, blocks and balls encourage the kids to use their sense of touch and to enjoy the experience of discovery. "We were very impressed by the educational concept. A traditional toy that leads children in small steps to the world of science," said the jury.

Der Wrapper Motion + von Lodger konnte hier den Gewinn für sich entscheiden. Als Cape im Autositz, im Kinderwagen oder ausgefaltet als Spieldecke: der Wrapper Motion + bietet verschiedene Nutzungsmöglichkeiten. "Ein Cape mit vielen ergänzenden Funktionen, noch dazu aus einem angenehm weichen Material, hat den Award verdient."

The Wrapper Motion + from Lodger emerged as the winner in the World of Baby Textiles category. It can serve as a cape for wearing in the safety-seat, in the pram or unfolded as a play blanket: the Wrapper Motion + can be used in a number of different ways. This cape has earned the award by virtue of its many complementary functions and the fact that it is made of such a pleasant, soft material.

World of Baby Care
Hygieneprodukte, Elektrogeräte/ nursery products, electrical appliances    

In dieser Kategorie fiel die Entscheidung auf Calma & 250ml Flasche von der Medela AG. "Eine künstliche Brustwarze als Aufsatz für die Flasche erleichtert den Übergang von der Brust zur Flasche" Als Innovation für unterwegs nennt die Jury die Happy 2Go Babyflasche der Firma Flori Babyartikel GmbH, mit der das Mischen von Pulver und Wasser auf längere Zeit hinausgeschoben werden kann und so das Füttern unterwegs vereinfacht.

An artificial nipple installed on the bottle eases the baby's transition from breast to bottle feeding," said the jury. The Happy 2Go baby bottle from the company Flori Babyartikel GmbH, an innovation for use on the go, was recognized by the jury. The product makes it possible to postpone the mixing of powder and water for longer periods, making feeding easier when travelling.

World of Baby Furniture
Kindermöbel und Zubehör/ baby furniture and accessories

Mit den baff Musikmöbeln der gleichnamigen baff GmbH wurde ein pädagogisch wertvolles Produkt in der Kategorie "World of Baby Furniture" ausgezeichnet. Stuhl und Hocker umfunktioniert zu Musikinstrumenten sind ein Blickfang und eignen sich sehr zur Rhythmusschulung in Kindergärten und Vorschulen. 

The baff music-furniture from the company baff GmbH was honoured as a product of educational value in the World of Baby Furniture category. Chairs and stools that turn into musical instruments are a novel idea and great products for rhythm training in kindergartens and pre-schools.
