With about 486 collections (192 from abroad), over 7,000 buyers and a total of more than 11,000 visitors at the last summer edition, Pitti Bimbo can truly be considered the major children’s fashion fair in the world. It offers a perfect vantage point for viewing all the lifestyle trends that are the result of crossing the wires of fashion, food, art and design. This 360° view covers it all, from the classic-elegance of the big brands at Pitti Bimbo, to the sportswear at Sport Generation, from the creativity of the sophisticated, research-oriented names at New View and EcoEthic to the urban couture at Super Street, to the avant-garde collections at Apartment. The new entries and returns at this edition include Cruciani, Jottum, Stillini, Unlimited, Gaudì, New Generals, Fiat 500, Ducati, Fiorucci, 813 and Come nelle Favole. The list of special projects include the presentation of “MyoTronic” by Foppapedretti, the innovative stroller with an electric motor, aluminum frame and highly technological design that won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.

Paris: Babar feiert seinen 80. Geburtstag!

Der kleine Elefant Babar erfreut seit mehr als 80 Jahren die Herzen der Kinder auf der ganzen Welt. Als der französische Künstler Jean de Brunhoff 1931 die ersten Abenteuer Babars niederschrieb und illustrierte, griff er auf die Gute-Nacht-Geschichten seiner Frau für die eigenen Kinder zurück. Zur Feier des 80. Geburtstages des Elefanten zeigt das Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in seiner Spielzeuggalerie bis zum 2.9.2012 die Ausstellung Les histoires de Babar. Sie enthüllt kostbare kleine Schätze, die sowohl die kleinen als auch die großen Zuschauer begeistern werden. Es sind Originalzeichnungen, Skizzen, Zeichentrickadaptionen und Babar-Spielzeuge zu sehen. Noch bis zum 02. September 2012.

Babar celebrate it‘s 80th birthday! Eighty years after his debut, Babar continues to captivate young children. 1931, “The Story of Babar” was first published by Jean de Brunhoff, an artist, who first wrote down and illustrated the story of the baby elephant Babar the bedtime-stories of his wife for their two sons. For his 80th birthday, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, celebrates a retrospective exhibition. Items dating from the 1930s and all the Babar books will be shown, with a selection of a hundred original drawings, archive photographs, present-day Babar products, cartoons and 3D films. KOMM vom 13. bis 15. Juli 2012. Dann startet Deutschlands Fachhandel in Wallau bei Frankfurt/Main in die neue Kindermode Orderrunde für Sommer 2013. Die nationalen und internationalen Aussteller zeigen auf der KOMM alle relevanten Kindermode‐Kollektionen für die Saison Frühjahr/ Sommer 2013. Mit dabei sind auch ausgesuchte, nachhaltige Labels, die sich im Rahmen der „GREEN Kids“ präsentieren.

India Textile Industry is one of the leading textile industries in the world. It largely depends upon the textile manufacturing and export. It also plays a major role in the economy of the country. India earns about 27% of its total foreign exchange through textile exports. India textile industry is the largest in the country in terms of employment generation. It not only generates jobs in its own industry, but also opens up scopes for the other ancillary sectors. India textile industry currently generates employment to more than 35 million people. More jobs are estimated. The technology applied in the production process is of international standards. Regarding the weaving facilities, the technology used is from one of the most technologically advanced companies.

Indien Textilindustrie ist einer der führenden Textilindustrien in der Welt und spielt auch für das Land selbst eine wichtige Rolle in der Wirtschaft. Indien verdient etwa 27% seiner gesamten Devisen durch Textilexporte. Die Textilindustrie ist der daher auch der größte Arbeitgeber des Landes auch im Hinblick auf die Schaffung neuer Arbeitsplätzen. If you are looking for manufacturers with smaller quantities I can recommend a small factory in Jaipur, Rajasthan. When I was still working for Funky Textilversand, I did many productions there. I just recently visited the factory and took some pictures for you!

They have a quite short sampling time (one to three weeks). Production time within 30 days after samples are approved. They do up to 5.000 pieces/ month. Various techniques like block printing, beadings and indian embroideries.
